WOWZERS raced a guy i knew with a e46 M3 and saw him on teh highway today so we got on from a roll, instanlty off the drop he got 1/2 car and started fading away..all in all he got about a 5 cars on me easy while still hefty pullin.. took off from the highway and i was behind him, i was going 230 and again he blew me away...

Most respectable loss ever, i bow down the M's:clap:

230 is the money spot. If you have good tires, and suspension set up. 230 is like nothing, my car loves high speeds like that. Just hope you upgraded your brakes, then you are good to go.

And its ok to lose to a much nicer car, just to see how kick ass of a machine you are up against:D

Not even then, you don't know what is on the road whether potholes, gravel or whatever. Not mention other traffic and what they do.

heh, yea 230 is insanely fast for street....just make sure you dont put others at risk around you

potholes at 230 do not affect a car at all. your going fast enough that the tire would carry right over it.

Thanks tips.;) If the pothole was big enough it would affect the car... regardless going that speed while racing someone is insane and stupid. I've only maxed out my car once but I knew the road like the back of my hand and it had no traffic during the time of day I went.

On the highway its a bit different than deerfoot or 17th ave.


230 is a bit much, but at least its not speeding in a school/playground zone.

Longer line of sight and generally better quality roads make the highway not as risky...except for wildlife.



Besides, we wouldn't have wonderfull things like the gumball ralley

Because he saw him on the road obviously an area with other traffic?:dunno: But I guess if people want to put themselves at risk it's their own decision (except for other ppl's insurance go up) just don't put others at risk.

Where's the BS flag when you need it?

Unless you're car is a nicely modified Supra, there's no way in hell you'll ever go above 200. That is, unless, you have superawzome fast 'n' frioous decals non teh doubz, yo!!

Hey fool, this is a stinky assed 89 Probe with an exhaust. Now that I am modded I can go all the way to redline and drop the needle. So you are dead wrong:thumbsdow. This is with 3 passengers full tank of gas and I still had tons to go. Oh ya oversized 18's so I am going faster then it says it is too :thumbsup:

oh yea saw him on the street and followed out onto the highway... That is the highest i ever topped my car out at, and i was pretty scared..

Yes the car is a TYPE R and yes it goes over 200!

the only way I'd doubt someone saying they were going 200 is if they were driving a kia :P

I'm not comparing them, I'm saying I'd rather hear about M3's and ITR's racing then the usual "my stock Civic DX smoked a 87 Camary"! That's all! :thumbsup:

Why? vsmSIR just says you can't compare ITR's and M3, which he is correct. I was just simply correcting him that my comment was not comparing them but applauding the fact that the two of them racing is a nice change of pace from the usual race talk.

werd to all of this, if a M3 pulled along next to me i'd try and race him, even fully knowing i'm about to get my ass handed to me it'd still be a tonne of fun!!!!
