Okay, so I pull into a Mohawk Station and go to fill up the car...pop open the gas door hatch...NO F****N GAS CAP! ARG!!!

Its not like I forgot to replace it, I know I put it back. Someone pilfered my damn gas cap. What is the world comming to!? Its not the money, its the principle!

They are 10 bucks at VW wreckers...prolly less at a general wrecker.

Yeah, usually people do that, not for the gas cap, but to siphon the gas. Once we spotted a guy walking in the alley in the early mornings with a Jerry can in one hand and a hose in another - we tried to jump him, or at least take his gas, but he took off real quick.

No idea what someone wanted the gas cap for...prolly syphoned the fuel and tossed the cap for fun...fuckers. It was the locking kind too so now my new one wont work with my key! Go fig, I almost always lock the gas cap.

Someone jacked the fuel cap from my wife's Escort about a month ago as well, there was about 4 cars in her office parking lot that it happened to. My worst fear was sand, sugar, syrup, etc in the fuel tank.:guns: But it's still running great so they must have tried to siphon.:dunno:
