Blew the engine coming down Crowchild last night...

1986 Toyota Celica GT-S Hatchback
Black ext/ Grey int
5spd
dash shows - 344 000km
power sunroof, mirrors, windows, locks
Brand New 14" All Season tires - 300km if that


Aside from the engine the only thing that was showing some wear are the cv boots and my powersteering pump. Vehicle has never been in an accident. Exterior and interior both in good shape.

how would you go about fixing this? is it easy to find a new engine for the '86?

You should be able to swap ALMOST any *Toyota* engine up to 98 or so, with almost a bolt in, it should not be hard at all. I think the mounts are all gonna be the same, call jdm source for a quote he should hook you up... Good luck on the sale, Justin.

^ You can not swap just any engine into this car. 4th gen celica's came with a 3sge engine. So anything engine in the 3s series will have the EXACT same mount (ie... 3sgte from an MR2). If I had the cash I would be all over this car. Smoking price for something with so much potential.
