View Full Version : firefox 2.0 problems
i just upgraded from 1.5 to 2.0 and all of my bookmarks are gone. if i import my ie favourites (i have none since i don't use IE) my old firefox 1.5 bookmarks re-appear, but there's still nothing on the bookmark toolbar that i had before. whne i right click on the toolbar no menu pops up. When i re-start firefox, all of the bookmarks disappear again.
anyone else have this problem?
hmnmm i guess this is a known problem

my book marks are there but the windows media plugin and the searchbar plugin is messed, and to save a bookmark i have to repeatedly click the designated folder before i can save it.

My bookmarks are ok, but it keeps crashing on me :banghead:
It's a nice touch being able to return to the page you were at before the crash though
Is anyone else having random freezes/crashes?
edit - I think the problems were caused by not uninstalling the old firefox and setting the new one as default. Seems to work ok now.
Worked fine for me. And I like the spellchecker. I just hate how the little X's on the tabs are actually on the tabs now, instead of over to the right. :nut:

I really like this software... even since the first release.
However, it still seems slower than IE and I also have a problem with my bookmarks, there all there...except I can't scroll down to the bottom of the list...weird bug.
I'm sure patches will be out soon, so Firefox

I had the same freezes when I installed it. What fixed it for me was I completely uninstalled Firefox and deleted the folder in Program Files. I then re-installed it without adding any plug -ins. Turns out it had corrupted the Macromedia flash player. I re-installed that and it is now working fine.

IE7 ftw.
The only problem I've had is that ctrl+m doesn't work on firefox anymore. wtf

this bugged the hell out of me too..
Found the setting on the mozilla boards.
type in: about:config
in the address bar.
Go to "browser.tabs.closeButtons"
And set the value to 3. The default is 1.

Sorry I meant windows+m (minimize all windows).
Sometimes it works and sometimes one firefox window will always stay open. I can't figure it out.

I'm still using 1.5 and you can use your wheel click button on any tab to close it. I can't imagine this feature NOT being included with 2.0.
