Better question, has the quality of VW dropped so badly they are worse than Ford yet?

My vote goes to South Center Fine Cars, but it's not a very enthusiastic vote.

At least they're better than 5th Avenue Auto :thumbsdow

Would it be better for me to stick with my Toyota rather then switching to VW?

We had nothing but problems with our 4Motion Passat. I know people who have had nothing but problems with VW and I know people who absolutely love their VW's. Seems pretty hit and miss to me... :dunno:
We bought from Northland but serviced it at South Centre.

IMO, I would stick to Toyota :D

I was looking at the new Rabbit or the GTI. All depends on what the budget can handle.

SCFC is pretty good. Ive never had a problem.

My dad has been driving VW's for the last 20 years, never had a problem with any of them.

see the new gti is different as it is not made in mexico, but germany instead like the good ol' times...i have had a couple various vw's (mk2, mk3, and mk4) and i love those cars

All three dealerships arent that bad since i've dealt with all of them. Fifth Ave and Southcentre are owned by the same guy. We bought our Passat from Fifth Ave and we've been happy with them. I believe that Northland charges more for parts if i remember correctly.

Depends where your passat was made...some were made in germany some were made in mexico, those that came from mexico are the biggest POS!

SCFC - hate em!
5th ave - they are good, but not great!
Northland - Never been!

I love the looks of the VW's, but would never get one due to all the horror stories I have heard about them.

I went and looked at the Jetta GLI. Very nice car!

It is a tough decision because I really like my Toyota. But the mileage is getting up there for an '03 (almost 150K), so it is time for me to start thinking about getting another car.

Go to www.eurodrivers.ca, register, and send a PM to GINCH. He will help you out!

I have a friend that just bought a Rabbit and a friend that just bought a GTI and they both went to Northland and loved it, so I would say Northland based on what I've heard.
