You'll need a credit card and you need to be old enough to rent one. Other than that, I'm not sure I remember anything about a security deposit?? The credit card is the security deposit.

I don't know why they'd require one anyhow..... wrecking those trucks could only be benificial to the company. Drive safe. They're maintained by monkeys.

every u-haul place is booked like crazy
i had to wait 2 full days for a hitch on trailer...the smallest size

Yeah its a slim chance that you are going to get a truck on such short notice. Its best to reserve one a month before you move so that you know that you have one.

The post above are correct, you don't need a deposit, they are just going to need a credit card.

I had a terrible experience with uhaul, overcharged, terrible truck, no customer service.

If i ever have to rent a truck again, i'm going through driving force. At least that truck wasn't about to lose a damned axel or two.

u-haul trucks are generally deathtraps. Last one I rented barely ran.
