Just thought I'd save myself the trouble of being on hold for hours. I'm with Rogers Wireless and I was wondering if anyone knows if there's a long distance charge, or any extra charge for that matter, involved in sending a text message to someone in the US?

Are you sure? I think there is. I know within Canada there are no charges, to the States I thought there was. I know when I was in Vegas, it cost me a fortune to text back to Calgary. And that was on top of my roaming charges.

Its just the roaming charge. theres a 40 cents charge whenever you send a txt msg from the states. but sending from ur local to the states should be fine

sending local to states is free, it costs more to send texts overseas tho (i think either 25cents or 50cents each)
