Looking at buying a used diesel truck. Not too familier with them. Are there any key issues that I should look out for. Doesnt have to be amazing just reliable.

as far as i know if your looking for something really reliable don't buy a diesel. i had several heavy duty mechanics all tell me the same thing when i was looking for a truck

Really? I've heard the complete opp. The cummings a friend owns has logged a little over 700,000km with no major repairs.

Anyone else?

Thats true. Which is why I'm wondering what to look for when buying used. Ways to tell if the maintainace was good or if it was drivin hard.

If I saw any evidence of a overboosting with a superchip or a power programmer I would run away.
