Anyone Know Anything About Tires??

hello,
so the tires in the front are 225/45R17 and the back are 245/40R17..

Can i just use the 225/45R17 for all four wheels??

i called some places said yes and some places said no..

cause its cheaper to just get that..

well it all depends on wheel size, ie, width, and so on, what is the size and width of your rims?

you could except just be aware that there is a diameter difference between 225/45-17 and 245/40-17 which would throw your speedometer off for sure. its a minimal difference though using the tire calculator is only.0.3 inches but the circumference difference is almost an inch.

I'm going to guess this is for your Benz? It'll be fine, I ran that tire size all around for winters on my SLK32 too.

Double check in your manual, it should tell you what alternate sizes you can use for winter.

My 330 runs the exact same size tires. For winter I just went with 225/45/17 all the way around. No problems.

Most likely, yes. Give me more info (car, year, wheels, etc) and I will tell you for sure.
