So I'm trying to backup some backed-up DVDs.. but it seems every DVD I try to use when it gets to about 95% I get a I/O error or a CRC error..

I'm guessin it's either poor DVDs or I need to clean my DVD Drive.. I'm guessing it's more the poor DVD quality (The ones that I used to back up with in the 1st place)..

Trying to rip a DVD to HD right now and see if I get the same error with a normal DVD that I bought and see if I get a CRC/IO Error.. I think that way I'll know if it's the bad quality or the bad drive..

Anybody have any other suggestions?

No, these are dvds I backed up myself originally. I just tested it by ripping a movie dvd I bought and there were no problems, I think its these POS blanks I bought at memory express last year that is the problem.

yea it wouldnt be a copyright issue at 95% of burning, I would try with a different brand of disc, like you said pos discs are pos discs.
