COPENHAGEN, Denmark - Rap star Kanye West was named Best Hip Hop artist, but still came off as a sore loser at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

West apparently was so disappointed at not winning for Best Video that he crashed the stage Thursday in Copenhagen when the award was being presented to Justice and Simian for "We Are Your Friends."

In a tirade riddled with expletives, West said he should have won the prize for his video "Touch The Sky," because it "cost a million dollars,
Pamela Anderson was in it. I was jumping across canyons."

"If I don't win, the awards show loses credibility," West said.

Kanye's pretty awesome. His lyrics are awesome and his beats are good. Intelligent mainstream hip-hop. Not 50-Shady-JayZ gangsta BS crap. People always pull stunts at awards shows. I think a RATM or Pearl Jam band member climbed up a statue in dispute of someone else winning a similar award at the American MTV awards a while ago.

No big deal. The guy's work speaks for itself and still kicks ass. 'Touch the Sky' rocks.

I'm going to actually put a spin on this and agree with Kanye. The guy makes some killer killer videos and has some wicked talent. I hate his songs, but watching his videos on mute is actually very very good. He doesn't put out the pre production crap other producers do, I like the time and effort put into his videos.
And the reason I agree is because the music awards are based more towards the pre production crap that the audience for some reason prefers to see and this is how the awards are decided. I disagree, however, with the way he acted. He should have known this from the beginning and not gotten caught up in an awards show that serves a purpose other than what he's looking for.

So, the new word is that Kanye actually played a huge prank on the the crowd and MTV when he took the mic and ranted away at the MTV European Awards. Apparently, he was a bit tore down, but planned it out with the winners, Justice vs. Simian. Apparently, the group and 'Ye were seen clowning after the event went down. Who knows? People close to Kanye told Eurweb.com that it was just an inside joke that we didn't get.

I think that WEST not winning that is a load of bollocks, he has the right to have an opinion and disagreeing with what was chosen, but he really is full of it if he has to go out as if PMSing and being a dramaqueen if he has to go ona a rampage AND taking away from people's enjoyment of the show. That's my opinion.

Entertainment is just what it is, it's run on money, and his sort of hip hop is run on jumping canyons, having a whore on his video and having 10000Gs as loose change, am I supposed to care about him choosing to make out of money and career?

'Cause I have to live, study and make it through real life, I'm not bitter and I'd never be in the entertainment industry cause I'd have better ideas to spend that kind of money on things that are useful, not 4 minutes of worthless bullshit.
