Where do i find the thermostat on a honda civic?

I am pretty sure that my thermostat on my 1998 civic hatchback (d16y7) has stopped working. I am tryin to figure out where to find it so that i can replace it myself...if you know where i can locate it let me know, thanks.

follow the lower rad hose to the engine. should be on the pass. side above the starter.
