Yah those aren't Japanese plates... looks like a North American plate of some sort. I think it is illegal to impersonate a Police Officer -- just not sure if it's "ticket illegal" or actually "arrest illegal".

There are lots of 'fake' cop cars, most are security cars.
U of C Campus security comes to mind, even their uniforms try to look like CPS (rice).

I've seen a white sedan with red stripes all over it, lights, dual A-pillar spot lights, etc. Fully-loaded wannabe-a-cop rice police package. No security company logos and it was driven by some young high-school looking kid in street clothes. :confused:

On the west side of 14th St just south of 16th Ave, there is a wannabe cop car that says 'Cyber Patrol' (?) that is always parked by some computer repair shop. Looks like something out of Dukes of Hazzard. :rofl:
