Headline on CNN is "Rumsfeld Resigns"

It should be followed by "... and goes into hiding"

Not surprising tho. No point sticking around which you don't get to play anyway. Time to retire to cushy job @ random military contractors.

No, I certainly do not. I make no claims. I simply present the fact that I DO have 2 degrees, and several pages worth of other courses ;)

Rumsfeld has always been involved, and he is a dirty SOB.... but he is just the frontman. He has some say, but he was far from being the main guys in charge.

One idiot gone, another one in. No credability, no credentials, and every one of them has their thumb up their asses.

I sure hope some peeps realize this is a war and it will not end by talks or pulling out of Iraqi. It will only end when 1 side accomplishes it goals......

Irregardless of what wacos have come out now, Rumsfeld needed to go, Rumsfeld was a relic civilian boss who did not have the capicity, foresight or military experience to do much more than bungle everything past the first three weeks in Iraq.

Good Riddance to him.

Wasn't it Rummie's plan to have a Iraqi government ready to put into place after the invation and to keep the Iraqi army standing to support that government?

He was outvoted for the current plan of completely dismantling the army?

If so the current situation isn't of his making, his plan would have worked a lot better.
