There is no such thing as an 8 point diamond.

How big is it? What colour is is? What is the cut? How is the clarity?

If you are selling it for 245 it sounds like wedding band... I don't mean to pry but what kind of ring is it?

Promise ring? Wedding band? Engagement ring?

;)

sorry i dont' know anything about jewelry it's a promise ring the quality of the stone is very clear compared to most others and that's about all i know...it just needs to find a beautiful woman to go to

actually pts are sometimes used to denote the carat weight. ie 8 pts would be 0.80 carats. I don't think this is the case here though, since a 0.80 carat diamond is worth much more than $245. Any high grade diamond should come with a certificate.

a friend of mine is a goldsmith and so it was kinda a favor more than anything...that's why the price is low...

even it's low.............i think this is below cost.

it's not that cheap to get diamond in canada.

consider 0.8 let say a G color and VVIS is cost more than 6G with the ring.

$245 seems little shaddy.

just my 2 cents

245 is probably right about right actually...considering what i paid for cost...it is just a promise ring not an engagement rign the diamond is higher quality than most, to my knowledge, but being a promise rign it is not very big. either way its a good deal on a good quality ring....if you want to buy then ask if not leave it be i know what it is and that is all it is

8 points is NOT 0.80ct it is 0.08ct.

that makes more sense the stone is quite small....but she did say that it was one of the highest quality stones...otherwise she was goign to put a larger one in it

:dunno: why don't you go on several sites which contain jewellery and find a ring that looks closest to the one you are selling and then post the link up.
that would be a lot easier and you would be able to sell it ALOT better!
(and if you can't find one similiar, then try DESCRIBING the ring!)

also include details
- where was it from
- is it in the box
- where does your 'goldsmith' friend work
- does it have the papers to confirm the quality of the ring

you guys are kinda pathetic....as i stated i dont' know anything about jewelry....i was told it was 8 point...it is white gold and a very clear stone...and that it was made as sorta favor by a friend at a goldsmith shop....it is a very nice promise ring and that's all there is to it...if you're interested in the ring then ask....if not shut the hell up.....obviously if i could find a very similar ring i would post a pic....and does it really f'n matter where the heck she works......it's a small not terribly expensive ring who the hell would want documentation on a ring that was worth thousands of dollars.....

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED THEN PLEASE INQUIRE ABOUT RING

IF NOT PLEASE DON'T SAY ANYTHING

this was the closest i could find but it still isn't really what it looks like...the stone in my ring is quite a bit smaller and the band is a bit different as well as being solid white gold....but i guess that's the closest to what i have

Not to be rude...but good luck on the sale with an attitude like that.

Most people when purchasing something on the internet would like to see a pic and when it comes to diamonds - want the 4 c's.

So...:dunno:

if someone wanted to see a ring they were buying i'm sure they'd rather see it in person than to a pic on the net
