Want to take the girlfriend out for her birthday. Would like it to be a bit classier than the average run o' the mill restraunt in town here, so I'm looking at driving to Calgary or Edmonton. Any suggestions?

Only two things that really need to be excluded from the list. Currie anything, and pasta. Otherwise, mostly everything is free-game. I'm not looking for too high-end here, as I wouldn't even know how to dress. Just looking for a place that is better than a franchise that a nicely dressed casual person can go to. There is a place called the RedStone in Red Deer, but getting out of town is nice!
As for Sterling's, I don't know how well the Firefly turbo on its 13" winter rubber would compare to them Ferrari's ;)

Explain further? She LOVES chicken (especially salad-esque). The mushrooms might be pushing it though, as I distinctly remember her having a dislike for cooked mushrooms.... mabye she is picky ;) I know I'm not, if I can catch it, I'll eat it :D
