So my brother bought some new wheels last week..

Before:

After:
http://members.shaw.ca/nismodrifter/bbs1.jpg
Yup! BBS LM's

They are Porsche Fitment so adapters will be required, the final stats on the wheels will be as follows:
Front: 18x8 ET30 (ET50 with 20mm adapter) with 235/40 tires - I have a feeling these will rub pretty bad.
Rear: 18x9.5 ET30 (ET55 with 25mm adapter) with 255/35 tires

OOOOOOOOOOOH YEAAAAAAAAAAH

Beside the car:
http://members.shaw.ca/nismodrifter/bbs3.jpg
These are going to look totally pimp when on IMO.

And the Money Shot:
http://members.shaw.ca/nismodrifter/bbs4.jpg
I am going to miss the lip on the Neo's but these will give the car a totally different style and I think it will look pretty darn good. Sadly, I don't think I am going to be able to drive the car with these wheels on in the near future :(

I am such a pic whore
:D

Nice!

I really admired the Neo's on your Jetta. It was a great looking setup.

Maybe I've been staring at my monitor far too long or it's the lighting, but are they gold-ish colored? I can't tell.

Am I the only person who likes the rims he had before better?

But congrats on your purchase :)

They are silver, the lights in the garage are making them look goldish

Old rims def looked more agressive... but that's not always the objective. The new ones still have a sporty look, but just keep it a little more upscale I think in the overall look.

As was said, change is change..... I too suffer from getting bored easily. :)

Nice wheels either way.

I love the look your car had with the old rims on, but seriously i've seen a couple of the MKIV's with the LM's on and a few with LM knockoffs and it looks absolutly stunning!!! VW's look great with most BBS rims.

BBS LM's are an acquired taste.
Those would look BAD ASS on your car.
The only reason I see no one else agreeing with me is because there isn't a 4 inch lip on them and the spokes dont go to the edge.
CONGRATS!!!

The wheels will change the entire look of the car from "blingy" to a more clean look IE:

I will miss the lip though (I think its only like the size of a toonie or so on these)

you cant loose with BBS on vw, BBS FTW... nismodrifter = :bigpimp:

the old ones might have looked better because of the lip, but overall the new ones are soo much more :bigpimp: and suit the car better for what it is

besides the rarity/exclusiveness factor plays a big role in this choice of rims and having owned BBS wheels before, eventually down the road they will be worth more and there is people that are willing to pay with an arm and a leg for them:thumbsup:

i cant wait to see it driving around here in the south

Do your new BBS rims have as much lip as the blue one? Those rims look awesome on the car.

Is the $415 + $1.35CT for buying new inner fender liners or rolling/pulling your existing fenders? :P

Werd to this. The whole reason that my bro got these wheels is because they don't scream "import tuner". Instead, they are hella classy aftermarket wheels that take the look of the car in a much cleaner direction. The car looks more "mature" with these on haha. Hopefully it will still catch attention from the ladiezzzz. :bigpimp:

Nevar! I don't think you can even compare Axis wheels to these. Totally different level of quality.

hahha so untrue.
Firstly, have you ever seen a set of BBS LM's in person in Calgary/Canada/Anywhere??? I personally have not.
Second, have you seen a set of BBS LM's in person on a VW? Didn't think so.

Wider rear = more pimp = me likez = great success!. We already had this whole discussion in another thread.
Just wait till I'm done med school. Bring on the 10"-11" wide rears on 225 tires!!

Anyways whatever...they are wheels..everyone has their own taste and shit...my bro has always wanted them...now he has dem....he's happy, I'm happy...thats whatz important yo.

Someone pm'd me requesting that I pshop the wheels on the car.
The setup is going to be FAT FAT. Flush all around with possible poke in the rear!! Can't wait for xmas holidays to try them on.
Here it is:

haha, you win you baller. If you want to sell those 18x11's in like 3 years or so let me know hahahha. Those would be a good graduation gift to myself.

All I'm saying is that you can't really get more "different" than this on a VW. There are only a handful of wackos like my brother in town who purposely buy Porsche fitment wheels with the intention of running them on a VW :D.

With 325/30 rubber those wheels are big even sitting on their sides. I didn't think the trunk was that big on a Jetta. Maybe he can strap them to his hood.......sort of like a set of horns on a pimpin' caddy.

good choice, the old wheels didn't really fit the style of car, they probably would have looked better on some jdm whip. euro car's need clean wheels, and bbs is a top notch choice, it will look MUCH better.

he's right, axis blows, cuz they won't inflate the value of your 15 year old nissan with 250,000k to $25,000 like works will!

cosmetically, I think the LMs are a step down. they have serious name power though, and as such end up being equally blingin.

Because BBS and work wheels are of far superior quality than axis (axis is known for their cheap finish on their wheels). Dont get me wrong, Axis wheels are great for the money but you really can't compare them to more highend stuff like work etc.
