yes i have the receipt some where but cant find it.... everything is included box...headphone everything.. the ipod has been used for less then 1 hour...thing looks brand new!!!!

If it is actually less then a week old, future shop will still have all of your information and have the reciept on file, shoudl be no problem to take it back and exchange

its part of future shops policy or something, when i worked there it was never a problem for them to do it, we had people bringing shit back all the time without reciepts.

You didnt happen to purchase the PSP plan/??

I don't think you can get a cash refund w/o the receipt. I don't think they take your information anymore, unless you purcahse a PSP or whatever.

At best without the receipt for a cash purchase I would imagine you might get a store credit.

If you purchased the PSP plan i am 100% sure, otherwise yes they should have information, and not to mention all the have to do is zap the UPC and get all the information with purchase date how it was purchased etc.

and even if your looking to get a 8 gig one, you shoudl be able to get the 8 gig one on exchange then recieve cash back from the remaining money

i thought future shop only did a 30 day exchange for the exact same item and only a refund if it was unopened for 30 days aswell, but with receipt ofcourse :dunno:

i had a friend who accidently bought a ps2 game but wanted the xbox game, took it home opened it. Realized it was for ps2 then came back but they would only exchange it for a ps2 game :rolleyes: f-ing assholes what good is that?

That should be something that is enforced at every store. It's b/c of piracy and copyright reasons. All software,games,music, movies, once they are open, the can only be exchanged for the same title if it is defective.

and to answer the original posters question. No w/o a receipt they will probably do nothing for you.

With no reciept they will give you in-store credit. Just aslong as all the accessories and software is there you'll get full credit for it. Use it towards your new 8 gig and some other stuff at the store.

In that case no. You forgot that electronics change everyday. So your year old DVD player Future Shop does not carry it anymore. Something like brand new IPOD that appears to be in almost new condition, now thats a different story.

i had a dvd player i bought from futureshop and i lost the reciept in the same day i bought it but i wanted to return it, so i went there and tried and they said i couldn't but then i phoned in and asked some lady and shes like when you come in tell them that i said her name and they did it on the spot, i think it's more difficult with different locations but i have returned things without receipts, but also could be different case with different things but i remember i couldn't return something at the NE futureshop so i went to the northland one and had no problems, i would phone it...

i found this on their website, so it would explain the game situation posted above...but i am certain even if you dont have your receipt you can get it refunded onto a futureshop gift card, thats what happened to me anyways...
