any bigger on a d15 than 2.25" is WAY too big unless its a race motor or boosted anyways.

you loose way to much torque when you go bigger than 2.25 unless it has boost

More constructively, 2.25" is the biggest you should have unless turbo'd, and even at 2.25" you will notice a decrease in low-end power.

What exactly cause a loss in power?? I've always knew its bad for a stock engine, but I've never had an explanation.

tell him to buy 10 inch piping, and see what happens.

i have 2.25" piping and yes, i do notice some loss in low-end power, but high end it helped ALOT...still might be too big, but whatever.
