Hey, i was just wondering if i could just take my E46 to get a oil change anywhere? Places such a Petro can ect.. or do i need to take it to a BMW dealership?

i called the BMW dealership and they said it will cost me around 1000$ just for the oil change.. and was just wondering if i need to take it to them to get it reset.. is there any other way?

Thanks

$1000 for an OIL change.....I think back in 1970 they had to almost pull the engine out to change the oil, but this is 2006, lol

edit: this wasn't the BMW dealershp at the automall, was it?

regardless of the year of the vehicle $1000 for an oil change is like getting your engine changed haha.

im not exactly sure whats required in a bmw for an oil change but im pretty sure its just the oil and filter so you can take it anywhere...
then just take it to a bmw dealership to reset the code...dont think there will be a charge

Speedometer reset? Huh? (unless it's something special, you can clear the ECU by disconnecting your battery for 12-24hrs)

Btw, I can change your blinker AND horn fluid for $400 ;)
