View Full Version : Where do I hook the trunk output on a Compustar?

I have the factory trunk latch actuator from a Honda Accord (even though it's on my Civic) and it has a wire coming out of it to operate the selenoid to open the trunk remotely. Now onto the hard part.
It came with a relay with 4 pins on it and the ground on the mounting point. 2 of the pins are the switch and 2 are the coil/resistor. So I hooked a 12 volt source to the switch and one to the coil. Then the wire from the actuator to the other coil and the wire from the alarm unit to the other switch. The alarm is a Compustar 2 way alarm/starter and it's got a port specifically for the trunk output so I just plugged the wire in there.

Did I lose anyone? Anyone know what I did wrong? Is there a shop I can pay $20 to do this for me and tell me what the problem is?
