Only a retard would bother chopping stock springs! Save up a huge 300 bux and buy lowering springs instead!

spend the money and buy decent lowering springs. cutting springs is a ghetto way of getting the lowered "look". not to mention it screws up the spring rate and ride quality...

Are you stupid? if you heat up the springs then they get brittle and then if you hit a pot hole then the sping may bust nd then you'll have to spend a helluva lot more then $300 to get it fixed....just do it the right way

ok if you care about safety so much can you tell me what is wrong with cutting them is there any danger in that

you should cut your springs... save $$$ over actual lowering springs

you should chop off your muffler and weld on a foldgers coffee can... cheaper than even an ractive...

instead of getting rims you can just wrap your hubcaps in aluminum foil for that bling bling look

and instead of buying a cai... just take used toilet paper rolls and duck tape them together

seriously... chopping your springs is retarded

It's people like you that give enthusiasts a bad name. Some day lowering your vehicle may get you a ticket because a few people choose to do it the retarded way and cause an accident because of it, so all of us who do it properly have to pay the price. I bet you didn't even get an alignment after cutting your springs either.

For shame :thumbsdow

Look at the car you drive. Of course you don't care -- you probably don't even care about your own life. Do you have sex with small animals while driving fast (as fast as you can in your beater) down Deerfoot Trail? Fucking idiot -- go back to www.mullet-fuckers.com

Don't cut your springs. That's the cheap, impatient way to do it. If your gonna do it, do it right and buy lowering springs.

Definately don't cut or heat up your springs. Speed Dreams is correct in saying that it could alter the strength and impact toughness of the spring (for good or worse nobody knows unless it's tested).
You'll save yourself money in the long run by going with a quality lowering spring. IMHO if you don't have the cash right now to lower your car properly then wait till you do.
