bwhaha... no kidding... even if that thing was small enough to fit in a legit car, I'd hate to know how every kia owner would boast about their 89,640 HP pizza rocket

doesnt seem like enough hp for its size, they should add vtec

any idea what that would be used for?.. i thought that the 2000 HP natural gas engines that we used at my old work were big... those were about the size of a van...

that engine is designed to pick up north korea so they can invade whoever they want in 10 seconds or less, maybe 9 if it had vtec

The only thing I could thing of would be a generator in a HUGE co-gen facility or something. I can't imagine a compressor needing anything so huge.

I wonder how much power they could get out of it if they turbo charged it

Double0Civic

a turbo for that thing would be the size of a 2 car garage. you would think that if you could balance that engine right out that you would be able to acheive more than just a meager 100 rpm:(
man streetable diesels are annoying to be near, imagine how irritating that one would be....

i love that, 100,000 hp at an over pushed 101.5 rpm. thats not a bad ratio, 15,000 hp for every 1.5 rpm! lol

Phats

Dude, you're going to be soooo disappointed :

89640 hp
2000 tons = 4409200 lbs
Power to Weight Ratio : 49.2 lb/hp

Stock Civic
105 hp
2300 lbs
Power to Weight Ratio : 21.9 lb/hp

stock civic's going to be at least twice as fast!

man streetable diesels are annoying to be near, imagine how irritating that one would be.... On a motor like that, the sheer weight of the components limits how high it revs. The inertia of the pistons must be just ridiculous. Not sure I'd like to see them try and take it past 100rpm, even for kicks.

thats a hyundia motor. And not the crappy car company, the real hyundia (heavy industrial equipment and shipping). If i recal, that is a ship engine, meant for one of the largest container ships on the seas.

it would be a ship engine... ship engines are freaking gigantic, and need to be efficient as all hell. I'm almost certaint that's what it's for.
