WTB: 2wd Import Pickup Truck

I'm looking for a winter vehicle/next project. Basically I need a 2wd toyota pickup from the mid 80's to mid 90's. I preffer a manual transmission, regular cab short box, but will consider extended cab short box pickups.

I absolutely do not want a long box, or 4wd.

My budget is around the $1500 mark, but I'll go higher if the truck warrants it. I'm not expecting miracles for that price, but I don't want a rusted out POS either. Please let me know if you have anything that sounds like it might work for me.

I've changed my criteria. I'm now focusing solely on a Toyota pickup, and I've raised my budget. I'd like to find one in the next couple of weeks if possible to save me buying another beater to get around for the meantime.
