So its the opposite of the regular pinks? They both race from the same starting point?

I liked it a lot. Was much much better than the normal pinks... heads up is the way to go.

I wish the guy in the black Grand National hadn't rolled off the line though, cuz his car was dope, I love GN's.

It was OK. Def better than reg pinks. But with Rich still hosting it, it's only going to move the needle so far.

It's still possible to sandbag on that show. But that guy run 3/10ths too quick, I mean it was later in the day even and it ain't that hard for your car to run that much better witha temp change and track change. Yet if he let off it, he'd be disqualified. So it's still pretty much liek bracket racing. Run full out, but don't breakout in the dial-in. I don't know. At least it was a little more entertaining. Seeing that woman win was cool. She wasn't afraid to drive that thign balls deep.

Sandbagging is basically *not* running at 10/10's, giving your opponent the impression that your car is slower than it is, in your preliminary runs. You then compensate for the time difference in the cars with your start stagger. When it comes down to your final run, you hold nothing back and run substantially faster than you did previously, giving yourself a large advantage.

What is substantially faster? The guy who got kicked out when he ran the 9.79, does not really seem that much faster, than his previous 9.99

Yeah, too bad it was just inexperience, and he forgot to set the trans brake :(

I think he would have made it to the final two :thumbsdow

At 140ish MPH, 1/5 of a second is ~40 extra feet of ground covered, roughly 2.5 - 3 car lengths. That's *reasonably* substantial.

What import is going to do 10.00 1/4 mile? These guys have tires wider than your integra. They are called muscle cars

The term muscle car generally describes a mid-size car with a large, powerful engine (typically, although not universally, a V8 engine) and special trim, intended for maximum acceleration on the street or in drag racing competition. It is distinguished from sports cars, which were customarily and coincidentally considered smaller, two-seat cars, or GTs, two-seat or 2+2 cars intended for high-speed touring and possibly road racing. High-performance full-size or compact cars are arguably excluded from this category, as are the breed of compact sports coupes inspired by the Ford Mustang, the "pony car". Another factor used in defining a classic muscle cars is age and country of origin. A classic muscle car is usually but not necessarily made in the US or Australia between 1964 and 1975.
