Chances are that you won't find anything cheaper if you've already tried all of those shops mentioned above.

theres so many used 15" sets here on beyond. Just get a slightly different size if money is an issue.

whatever you find within reason would work. 205s, 195s, 185s would probably be best

P195/65/R15

P195/55/R15

P205/65/R15

nope, you should stay within the same diameter so your speedo isn't out.

so if you oem sizing is 195/60/15, u can go:

185/65/15

205/55/15

those would be in the same diameter but if you don't care by too much about being a tad bit out, then you could also do,

195/55/15

195/65/15,

Even if you change the tire size, your speedo will only be out by very small percentage anyways. In winter, it's unlikely it'll matter much

Kudos on getting them though. I saw some pretty ridiculous tip-toe along driving this morning by people in cars with obviously the wrong equipment.

I've also heard a riend of mine say he got a pretty decent set of winters for his protege at WAL-MART for cheap.

I bought mine from the dealership when I bought the car and got raped.

Yeah walmart was the best price so far. "good year tires, but dont say good year (must be like a sub division or something) 400 after install, tax and everything.

sorry to tell you dude but cheap and good winter tires don't go hand in hand. If you can manage it, I highly recommend the Hakkelopia RSI

Still the worst winter tire out there is better than the best all season in this weather.

hakkapeliitta

...the new 4's are sick, older hakka 2's are sick too, RSi's are nice too for a non studded

if you are going to get a different size get skinnier over fatter, skinnier is better for snow/winter

I agree. Yes , if you want some added performance in this shit, then a more expensive tire will probably net you better grip in more aggressive driving situations, but for getting form A to B and stopping, in most cases, even the cheap winters are still a far better bet than some crappy all season - or summer, which I can't even believe I actually still see on the road on a few cars. Oh my.

I know you want to save money but you should look into getting a good tire. I still think the Kumho KW19's is one of the best bang for your buck winter tire on the market. They are OK in the dry weather, a bit soft for cornering and higher speeds but absolutely amazing in the snow/ice. Aggressive tread pattern, I'm on my 3rd season with them now.

You should be able to pick up a set of KW19's in that size for under $500 mounted/balanced on your stock wheels.

When I had my KW19s, I nearly lost it all on the first corner I took haha. I don't think dry performance can get any worse than the KW19s. :D

KW17s are a good compromise. They cost a bit more but they have a harder compound (and better tread wear rating) than the KW19's. Blizzaks are probably the best dry road performer.
