so i'm going to look at a vehicle later tonight that i'm considering buying for a winter ride.. long story short, it's pretty old (1992) and only showing 150,000kms.. the guys said he's only had it for a year and the odometer it hasn't really moved.. it was bought from a dealership as a used vehicle (Double L motors or something like that)

the actual trip-meter works so he says. that tells me it's connected to the tranny. i'm guessing maybe someone messed with it originally??

my question.. where would the problems be in registering this vehicle.. ?

thanks!

No one is going to question you at the registry.

Mileage disclosure is voluntary anyway, isn't it?

just beware, the dealer may have put it back to 150 and broke it when doing so.. there could be 400k on the thing..

Don't need to tell the registry what the km are
unless you are doing an out of province or salvage inspection on it

odometer reporting is a voluntary program

My brother brought over a car from BC a while back with a broken ODO, no problems whatsoever registering it.
