I have the trailer on my computer it says going to be out in december 2006 has anybody heard anything about this, also it says directed by peter jackson and it shows gandalf and bilbo as the same characters as all the other lord of the rings

as far as i know, peter jackson is no longer directing this movie, the studio decided to go with a different director.

Please post a link or upload the trailer so we can see. I know there is a fake trailer out there that has footage from some LOTR movies, and other movies with dragons in them. I'm guessing you have that trailer, as this project was called off. Maybe they started it up again, but there's no way in hell that the film would be out this early.

The trailer you have on your computer must just be made up from clips from the 3 movies by some die hard lord of the rings fan.

Animated movie done by Ralph Bakshi (sp) who also did an animated LOTR which was Fellowship and Two Towers combined, then did a separate one for Return of the king. Which had the same style animation as The Hobbit. Another little known cartoon movie by Bakshi was Wizards.
