Anyone have any experience with these? I've been having nothing but trouble with these discs.. I make a backup and they're fine.. if I want to make a backup of the backup disc, it's CRC errors out the ass.. I've tried it on different ones too, the 8x that I had a long time ago and the 16x I have now..

Anyone have any DVDs they can recommend buying?

You should try lap top depot if you want some good ones... they just had a killer sale on maxell DVD-R's. I just got 50 discs for $19.99!!! Not too sure if it's still on or not though, this was last week.

They were pretty cheap. They were the no name blank ones with the white surface. they were the 16x ones.

I always buy the Ritek DVD-R's at MemEx. Had maybe 2-3 that were bad out of a couple hundred.

i went there and bought a couple packs and they were ALL duds, the fucking dvdr's were fucked beyond belief...the cdr's occasionally worked, but a lot of them were messed up on the surface

ya, what he said... haven't had a problem with them ever...

u might wanna check your burner to see if its having any issues or problems... try buying singles of different brand DVD-R's and burning the same things on them the exact same way...

What I've tried so far is using the 8x DVDs and the 16x DVDs from Memory Express.. the 8x give me more problems than the 16x.. I've encountered about 6 problems with the 8x, and I've encountered only 1 so far on the 16x..

I have some memorex ones that I haven't opened yet.. I'm going to try those when I burn something next time and see what happens..

I just read the label on my 16X dvds.. they are the Prodisc 16x DVD+R

I use the Taiyo Yuden's, never had a coaster yet.

it's not coasters I'm having a problem with..

I would burn a copy of something.. and it'd work fine.. plays fine, or backup fine..

it's when I want to burn a copy of the BACKUP dvd is when I get a CRC error..

I go Memorex / Maxwell for everything, dvds always burn fine for me, and with cds as long as I burn at lower speeds (52 -> 24) I don't have any problems.

Surprisingly enough... I really like the Sony DVD-Rs.

They have 50 DVD spindles of them at Staples for $20.

I use Memorex aswell, bought 100 of it back when FS had them for sale 25.99 for 50 16x

doesn't MemExpress sell Taiyo Yuden, read that it's the best for burning PS2 backup games.

honestly though never had a problem burning any dvd/cd for the past couple of years, but I like to burn then as slowest as possible like 2/4x for dvd
