Just wondering if anyone can reccomend any good quality headphones? My panasonic in-ear ones which I've had for around 2 years just crapped out on me yesterday.

I prefer the in-ear types which do a pretty good job of isolating sound (not a fan of anything noise cancelling or that requires batteries).

I bought these a few months ago and am pleased with their performance.

Dude what do you even listen to that would wager such a purchase? Aren't those professional earphones for musicians and producers? I don't think many albums made these days are of "high-quality.":dunno:

I bought them online for less than $200 USD landed, so they were considerably less than MSRP. There are some that are way more expensive.

The E4 comes with 8 different pairs of inserts so you can custom-fit them to your ear. This is something that I needed because regular earbuds or IEMs tend to slip out if I'm doing any sort of activity.

How do they compare to the E2C's? I tried those ones, and wasn't at all pleased

I haven't tried the E2Cs so I can't comment on a comparison.

The E4s have decent bass as long as it's positioned properly in your ear. This is probably a characteristic of all IEMs but the E4s are the only pair I've owned.

If you can find a pair to try out, that would be the best since this type of purchase is so subjective. I'm sure there are other makes that sound as good for less than $100.

I've had Sennheiser HD555s for about a year now, and they are fucking incredible.

If you're in an office situation with others around, you're going to piss people off with them, because they are an open headphone.
