I dobut you'd want to give a used one for an xmas gift. Try crappy tire yet? They have some cheap 120V ones.

so you own your own multi purpose machine? mig, stick, tig, ac/dc?
most people don't have $8000+ to drop on a machine for their garage lol
+ how is having an older multi purpose machine any different then having a mig and a tig? I like to be able to actually be able to move my machines around at home and have them tucked under my welding bench :)

see when you dont care to mig, you got your cables for your stingers and your ground plus your bottle. or if you wanted to go the long distances a push pull system... but i dont like to mig or fluxcore so i dont even bother

either way... go 220v liquid air always has some used machines for around 1000$ if your gonna spend money.. be it 500$ for a crappy tire unit... dont.. spend the little bit of extra money for a better machine. I know they had some used units that came from SAIT.. they could do everything but Tig aluminum.. couldnt go into AC.
