the best for a maxima

hello, name is peter, just bought a 95 maxima, wonderin the opinion on what people would do to it
i am doing ,
hid kit
jdm yellow fogs
hks air intake
hks sport exhaust
tein s tech springs
window tint all around constancie
18's, 5 spoke wide,
or whatever suties the vehicle
and a possible chip

what would you guys do or for the following parts what would you suggest,??????

for further info, the car was owned by one owner and is in mint condition and is a rare 5 spd

for exhaust I would go with stillen...it's sounds incredible. don't waste the money on a chip

Just so you know, on something like a maxima, Intake, exhaust, and chip MIGHT give you 20-25 WHP all together, which you likely will not be able to notice. There may be some exceptions and if so I'm sure people will point them out for you in later posts. If the car had a V8 or some turbos, then the above mods would give you much greater gains. That is a massive waste of cash in my opinion. Save your money and put it into some rims or a nice set of coilovers, or perhaps a proper stereo (i.e. no crap like rockford). I also personally think yellow fogs look horrendous, but it isn't my car. For tint, I would go with 35% all round. Its not too dark, still looks good, won't attract attention from the cops, and you can see out of it no problem at night. Any % of tint (non-factory) is illegal. For visual things, if you like it, then it is a good choice. It's your car.

A Y-pipe on these cars has been known to yield an average of 15hp alone, and it's very inexpensive. The classic route people go with the 96-prior models is to upgrade to 97-98 bumpers, stillen lip kit, springs/shocks, cefiro headlights, tint, wheels, etc. They all look pretty much the same after a while lol. Check out maxima.org, it's a pretty good resource for the 5th gen. I'd just slap on some g35 wheels, lips, lower it, and call it a day.

Get intake first, it sounds amazing!
Then get cattman headers, stillen Y-Pipe, and a good catback system.

Then I would have bought the stillen Supercharger.

One of my friends in Calgary has the supercharger and is around 275WHP, and one of them has nitrous and just about every bolt on part and is probly around the same power!

I have taken the back seat out for stereo installs, on my old one. I drove it to get some parts and it felt like I just cut the weight in half, I don't know why that would make them gay!:banghead:

thanks guys for all of you opinions it much appreciated, i am gunna do 35% tint all around and i do wont a hid kit just cause i always have wonted one, this car is my daily driver and i dont think i want to supercharge it just yeat but it is deffiently in my mind. the catman y pipe is a deffenit yes for me to buy and i was looking at a ray engenering wheels to give the car a bad ass track kinda look if youguys know what i mean.

dont get cefiro headlights... if you want one piece you can buy ones made for the 95 maximas. withte cefiro's you have to cut stuff away, and are left with a awkward gap.

i have a magnaflo euxaust and a CAI on my 95' 5spd, makes it sound so mean, yet not loud and annoying.

a Y pipe would show the biggest yield in power for cheap.

i would suggest registering on maxima.org, lots of info on there.

You guys have been such a help befor this i have owned 2 240's (one with sr20) a corrado , audi a4, and out of every car i like this one the best , i think i have decided on a cai, hks intake, and springs, 35 percent tint all the way around, and yes the jdm fogs and hid kit i know its rice but i still would like to have it

Because you have a 5spd, CAI, y-pipe, JWT/TS ECU w/ 7,200rpm rev limit OR E-Manage, MEVI or 00vi upper intake manifold. It'll be a beast.

I'd upgrade the brakes in some capacity (ie: 300zx caliper/13" cobra rotor bbk or q45 caliper/13" cobra bbk).
