LOL Pauly Shore Gets Knocked The **** Out!

Pauly Shore got into a heated exchange with some hecklers during a standup gig over the weekend in Odessa, Texas. During the incident one of the men walks on stage and Pauly Shore tries to diffuse the situation by apologizing and saying, "Please, stop, stop." Then the crowd of intellectuals start shouting "Hit him!" and Mr. Cowboy figures this is time to shine. The guy is quickly escorted away by police and Pauly Shore storms off saying, "Fuck all you fuckin' white trash."

I read basically what i posted.

Shore was punched to the ground after tangling with hecklers at a Texas comedy club in December 2006. Like Michael Richards’run-in with hecklers, the incident was captured on a video mobile phone. Shore was performing at the 8th Street Comedy Club in Odessa when he became irritated with audience members talking through his performance. In an angry exchange, one club-goer in a cowboy hat took to the stage and, goaded by the audience, punched Shore’s face, causing him to fall to the floor. The heckler was then led away by what appeared to be a police officer. Shore stood up and muttered, "Fuck all you fuckin' white trash," before leaving the stage.

Why would you set something like that up? I don't understand what's so odd about the incident:

1) A comedian is doing a routine in Texas.
2) Some hick doesn't get the joke (clearly oblivious to the fact that he's in a comedy club) and takes it personally.
3) Hick goes onto the stage and instantly becomes a superhero.
4) Hick punches comedian in face.

Not to be stereotypical but idiots like this cowboy are the ones perpetuating the myth that Texans are complete dumbasses.
