Hey people,

So my buddy just got a hit-and-run on his car. It was parked by the driveway and

when he woke up to go to it, it was hit and no note. He was asking me how long

usually it would take to take his car into a good autobody shop and get it done. I

said about a week to fix (Like I was sure), but I wasn't. He has damage to the

driver's door on his 03 Acura. What is the average repair time for Good autobody

shops to repair this? Also, he's on ING Insurance, so should his insurance go up

when he makes his claim when it's a hit-and-run? Thanks!!

Hey,

It is hit right in the middle of the driver's side door. Pushed in, I would say, half way in.

Medium damage done.

that seems about right, if its just "pushed" in then it wont cost much so no point of going through insurance.

Hey,

Well it was not just pushed in, it was hit. Like there is still the other cars paint on it. It looks like the door is hit and cracked, and paint is flaking off. Its not just pushed in.

Sounds like the same damage i've got on my driver's door of my Durango (deer hit)....
My truck is in for 5 days as they will be re-skinning the door and blending the paint all across the entire driver's side of the SUV (front fender, door, rear door, etc.) to match...

The most difficult part will be to get it booked into a shop...most are booking in late February right now.....:thumbsdow

I would just like to know how good Powerchief Autobody is. I only found one comment on them, so anybody that knows and has gone there, please let me know. I thank you!!

I guess it depends where your taking it because MACCO could probably do it in about 1.5 hours:dunno:
