I am just curious about the number '135' on packages of 35mm film I have. I understand ISO, but can't seem to Google my way to an answer about the '135' number on the box. Is this because it is a 35mm camera? Why would it not say '35' instead of '135'.
Sorry, I know its a dumb question.

Kodak's 1xx film numbering system.
There are other film formats that follow this numbering system, though they don't necessarily follow the xx = film size convention.
135
120
110
126
105
...
There are other formats like 220 (twice as long as 120) and 620.

Acutal size of 35mm film is 36mm*24mm :burnout:
I think the number 135 was from the "code name" of 35mm format film that was developed by Kodak.

The width of the film strip is 35mm, including the rebate :)
