You mean how to power the Slim PS2? There are two ways, either you can connect the brick to a DC->AC inverter or get a DC->DC power supply and leave the brick behind. I don't know where to find the DC->DC power supply in Canada, but I know you can find the inverter almost anywhere (best buy, radioshack, ebay, local electronic stores, etc...).

Here's a post I found of an install in an '03 IS:

I'll steal the links he provided :P

Hope this helps!

They have DC-DC cords for the slim ps2 on ebay for very cheap, then you could just wire it into your cars 12 volt supply.

You can just cut the cigarette adapter off and wire it directly into your vehicles power supply as an accesory.

Don't run it off the accessory key switch on the car, or else every time you turn the key off, you'll lose power....and your game data (incase you haven't saved)

I'd just run a seperate 12V hot switch and manually turn it off and on. That way, just incase you turn off the key while someone's playing, they don't lose all the game data.

Give's em a chance to save the game.

I thought Slim PS2's didn't shut off.. Aren't they always on ? And having it hot switched would drain your battery wouldn't it..?

no hes right, the slim ps2 stays on a "standby" mode, when the light is red, there is a switch to switch off on the back though

On the big PS2 there's a switch, not a on the slim so it's always in stanby mode instead of being off. Doesn't matter though, you can put your own switch or just have the PS2 shut off with the car.
