WHy won't any Honda dealership ron the codes in a car that was purchased from them. They say that it is a free reading if it is warranty work but $80 plus they say that they fix it. It costs $80 just to run the codes.

How much is a code reader for a 99 accord V6?

You don't need anything to read codes in a honda. You can do it yourself.

Hope I answered your question. It's very easy to do.

It's not a wire. You will find a green holder with that blue connector. Jump the connector with a paper clip or something, and turn the key. The CEL will flash a certain number of times, giving you the problem.

Is this right above the passenger floor. I can't seem to find it.

It's right under your glove compartment. Mine was literally right next to the bottom of the glove compartment. What you are looking for is a bright green rubber holder with the chips INSIDE. You wont be able to see the chips, only the unmistakably green rubber protector.

Does the thing i am looking for plug in anywhere or is it just hanging? I found a clip with 4 wires and two were blue. one was fairly tick and the other was smaller. Is that what i am looking for?

Thats exactly what you're looking for!

One "chip" has two wires coming out of it

The other has more (I think four). Use the one that has two wires.
