JE's seem to be the best bang for the buck pistons. i've checked a few other brands and they seem to cost a great deal more.

EDIT: rage2 what engine are you putting JE's into?

Getting. 2.8L stroker kit's blew up, I've hit the limits of 2.5L, so now it's time to try the 2.9L big bore with an extensively modified block (grouting, flat deck, etc).

See here (http://forums.rennlist.com/cgi-bin/rennforums/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=15&t=004912) for description and pics of the job.

i have a stock subaru 2.5L bottom end block to work with. don't know if i'll do any mods to the block. with low compression forged pistons and rods it should be able to handle 300hp. anyone know how to split a subaru boxer engine?
