Moving.. Nisku? leduc?

So I may be moving shortly for a new job.. It will be out of nisku, but I only have to live in the general edmonton area.. Just wondering if anyone has some insight into the jobs available in nisku or leduc? The gf will need a new job, just something general in the 15 ish $/hr if she could get it, she'll be leaving 14 at an animal hospital.. I'm not seeing much listed online for work in either place, so perhaps just moving to edm. will be the best bet. Is rent there comparable to here? Vacancy rates as well? what areas are better to get into up there? and which to stay clear of?
