Mazda is going big this year like Chrysler did in 94-98 to support "competitive driving" :D

Good time to race for Mazda.

Anyone with a driver's license and a compact car can participate for a $10 entry fee ("compact car" refers to 4-cylinder cars).

I wonder if minor mods will be allowed in the stock category.

It would suck to be in the modified group with an intake..haha

Only open to people with 4 cylinders... so anyone with V6 and V8's keep racing on the street! Go Mazda!

Not too mention leaving out Mazda's own, I'm speaking of the rotary of course.

Actually, I don't see anything there that says the rotary is not allowed. The article just said that compact cars refers to 4 cylinder cars. Does anyone know if there is an official rule book? I'm tempted to call the Mazda rep to find out. Not like I could run with my car or anything.........maybe if I buy another one........... ;)

It's not a Mazda. Chris found a sweet white T2 with a body kit that really, really tempted me......

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you already own one with too much money in it?;)

I was aware of that one, way up north if I remember correctly, maybe you can pick it up on the next visit to your folks, I'll join ya, I'm always up for a road trip:D

The Mazda Sport Compact Challenge Series is open to ALL sport compacts (import/domestic) with 4 and 6cyl. engines. The turnout was pretty crappy yeasterday (10 cars). I'm guessing due to ppl. thinking RC got rained out for the weekend. My best time for the day was 15.022 @89.75mph, but I didn't fair well with the dial-in bracket racing shiat:rofl:Ah, hopefully the next ones we can do the heads-up drags:thumbsup:
