An oldie, but definitely a good watch. Story is pretty interesting and the action is matrix-esque.

One of the best "lesser movies" (ie ones that are made but don't see wide release). I own it and watch it at least once a month (then again, I am a movie junkie and have LOTS of DVDs). This is also directed by the same guy that directed Batman Begins, if I remember (or did he produce BB? argh)

Rented it and bought it years ago, it's a good watch from time to time. The cheeziest things are the end of action sequence poses, much like Ultraviolet can get old fast. Action is definitely the high point of the movie but it does have an interesting message and concept.

gun kata ftw that was the sweetest part in the movie
:guns:

"Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically-predictable element. The Gun Kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents, while keeping the defender clear of the statistically-traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increased lethal proficiency makes the master of the Gun Katas an adversary not to be taken lightly."

This is a kickass movie and one that I was pleasantly surprised with. Christian Bale is pretty damn cool, especially after the first time you see him fight. It's a little lower-budget than it should've been, but this one is definitely a recommendation.

Unfortunately the next movie Kurt Wimmer directed was Ultraviolet which was one of the worst movie ever.

I thought it was an entertaining movie.. one of those movies that never made it big, but enjoyable none the less.

I really enjoyed this movie. If you like matrix-like story action sequences then I think this would be a good watch. I've actually watched it a few times already. I was actually surprised they only had a European release on this movie.

One of my favorites, an oft-overlooked but very good movie.

Thought it was a fantastic movie, think it was released in 2002 or 2003.

Great storyline and the effects/fights were quite descent given the budget.

Acting was quite well done as well, IMO.
