I think they are the 612 model..didnt even look at them that close. I picked them up off of ebay brand new, there is a seller on there who always seems to have some for sale. They took 2 week to get here though so you need to not need them right away. I really like them so far...even set at 10 DIN they hold awesome.

IMO, freeride bindings like the lines and 4frnts are shit out of the park, especially the lines, stupid center mount thing. if you're going to do some backcountry get the rossi or look bindings or some salomons.

Not the 4frnts..the old line bindings were crap..I used to have salomons and I hated them for backcountry..they were almost top of the line..always had the DIN at like 13 and they would prerelease when the terrain got hairy and dangerous.. Was pulling turns one day down a choppy face ending in a 20 footer...left ski ended up coming off just before the cliff....went off of it with one ski...scary as hell. So far the 4frnts hvent let me down plus the brakes are the wide ones so they can accomodate my prophets.

I got a Popular Mechanics 1 Year sub from my wife.

But you know what?

I got to watch my little nephews open their gifts from us, and I got to hold my brand new niece.

I also got to spend it with my in laws in Kelowna, and I'm going to get in some snowboarding at Big White.

Interestingly enough, I'm pretty happy all in all. I also kindof get a kick out of the whole "look at all the stuff I got, my family must love me" mentality. If "cupboard love" is what does it for you, then so be it.

To me, stuff is just stuff. Would you trade your life for it? It's all just future landfill anyways... but, holding my 2 month old niece and having her snuggle into my neck and make happy sounds.. that's something no amount of crap can replace.

And thats about it. All in all my family doesnt really spend to much on each other my parents usually do most of the shopping and my brothers and i just buy what we can for each other, no reason to put each other in debt over christmas.

I would have to agree watching my niece open her presents is the best part of christmas for me. Little kids get so damn excited you cant help but be excited yourself.. I got my niece a pair for Tan coloured Swade Pumas :D, Im the shoe uncle.....need to get outta that title soon or its gonna be costing me a lot more to buy shoes for her....

Who the fuck knew kids shoes were so damn expensive. My nieces presents was the most expensive of all the gifts i bought..........But the smile when she put them on PRICELESS!
