It has been done. I seen a few G60 Syncros(awd) conversion in mags. I believe VW produced a couple copies in Germany but not for production. The A2 Rally Golf which had the G60 engine was awd. HPA Motorsport will make about any VW awd for a generous fee...lol.:guns:

Not to jack the thread but, I'd be willing to bet there is an AWD turbo vr6 golf II running around Calgary this summer. Might even make World of Wheels :eek:
