Trannies leaking on the beemer

so i put my car on the hoist the other day and found that the tranny is slowing leakin tranny fluid. Does anyone know if i need to get a new tranny or can i just get this fixed. If so how much would i be looking at ?

Where does it look like it is leaking from?
Take it to Economy Transmission on 17th and 58th SE and they will be able to do up a quote for you and fix it.

same thing happened with mine, i had to replace the tranny, but that was because there was a shit load else wrong with it...im sure they can fix a small leak

i had the exact same problem, i took my car to a1 autobody and they fixed it for cheap

i dont think the tranny has any other problems. My check engine light is one annd it still shifts perfectly doesnt have anny problems. Im wonndering if this is why my check engine light is on

I dont think so. Well at least on my BMW there is no Tranny Fluid sensor, so if I dont have any fluid in there, I wont know until the car stops shifting LOL. Just take it in, there might just be a little crack in the tranny fluid collector, and then its easy to replace that.

Which year and model of BMW? It could be something simple like the shifter or output seal.

I agree.
My shifter seal was worn out and I noticed some tranny fluid on the ground.

there was a recall on the fill plug on the E46's

25c part, big headache, mine was leaking I noticed it when the tranny was out.
