I bought an open box item without reading the label... :( i thought i was buying a plasma for $1k but i ended up with a 42inch monitor.

Now i hate returning or arguing that the guys didn't tell me that so is there a way to set up a cable wire to the monitor??? there's no spot on the back. help!!!!!

p.s. I hooked up an old cable box and have the cable to the box and then s-video and rca's running to the back. but i dont have a remote to the cable box....and the box is really old...isn't there an easier way??????????????

seems to me that you would only have the s-vid and rca for sound

thats probably the way you want it anyway, not sure if it has a c0ax cable input anyway.

maybe check the owners manual link in the link above

edit, yep page 15-16 shows that its all composite input, no coax

so you can't just buy a gismo that the cable wire and s-video come together to make this work?

i dont think so

what kind of cable box are you running on it? thats likely to be a better video input anyway

and you did buy a plasma for 1k, it just doesnt have a cable coax input is all

or a universal remote that will work with the shaw box

or maybe someone on beyond or whatever has one kicking around

glad to hear you got it working

on the plus side, you can also hook your comp to it! nice!

go return it or get it price matched
