HI guys,
the speaker in my car, (driver side rear) was making tons of static noise, so I went out and bought a new pair of speakers.
I replaced both and I still have the static, also when i increase the volume ( pretty high) the deck shuts off for a few seconds and turns back on. This continues until i lower the volume.
Is there something im over looking?
thanks

Sounds like you have a short in your wiring..

Or the deck is fugged up internally

I think one of your grounds is messed up

have you done any work to your audio system lately?
Go back and check your work and see if there is any short.
Chances are you are overloading your deck causing the overload circuitry to kick in therefore going into safe mode.

Speakers just re-produce what ever electrical signal they're given... so with that in mind how much sense does it make to replace the speakers because they're playing too much static?

Some of the internal circuitry of your CD player must be fried, or perhaps the wires going to THAT particular speaker must be grounding out somewhere. I'd take a multi-meter and check to see if the wire is grounding somewhere: and if not; then count on replacing the deck (and avoiding that brand from now on);)
