Hi,
I am in the process of buying a set of the Goodyear Nordic's from Canadian Tire. Just wondering if they are any good for winter tire and should I just shell out more money for a better winter tire, like the Michelin X-Ice or the Toyo G-02's.
Help is much appreciated!

nordics are actually rebadged ultragrip 500's. this site seems to think the michelins are better: http://www.consumersearch.com/www/automotive/snow-tires/review.html
imo, the nordics are decent winter tires given the price difference.

Michellin X-ice are really really good. Had em on my integra and they were awesome. But now I have shitty decent winters on they still give me problems.
+1 for X-ice!

I had Goodyear Nordic's for 3 years on my van and they did really well; however, I just put X-Ice's on a 2006 RAV4 and they seem to perform significantly better esp. under braking. So I would say that the price difference is justyfiable.
