mann, am i the only one that even tho he did what he did...i dont think anyone deserves to go out like that...seems so primitive, looked like they basically bent down to his level to deliver "justice"...not saying i support saddam in any way...but...i dont support using primitive methods to kill ppl...

I personally think the death sentence is stupid. Put them in a cell and let them rot...and not a cell in canada where you actually have rights....bread and water solitary.

When Saddam was sentenced to death, he wanted a firing squad, not hanging. He should've at least gotten that.

They have to wear masks. If supporters of Saddam see who those people really are they or there families could be at risk.

I don't follow politics much but isn't this going to cause a major uproar from followers of Suddam Hussein? As opposed to if they just locked him up for life?

1. To protect them from people who might want revenge for hanging Saddam.

2. Protects them from them. Rather then killing another fellow human being, they can say to themselves they were just doing their job. Side note *this probably doesn't help, people who throw the switch for electrocutions, lethal injections....suffer a lot of mental problems just because of the situation....

So not to be rude or anything, but is the cause of death with hanging a broken neck (sure looks like it in this video/pics) or suffocation?

Would it be possiable that they hung a look alike when they handed over Saddem? How does one get away with bringing in a cell phone to record it?

Most die of the broken neck

Holy shit. That is pretty scary. I agree about how primitive this form of death is though, he should have died by firing squad.

Another thought...Saddam didn't give his victims a choice on how to die so do you think he should have had a choice?

Just putting this out there as another point of view.

I agree the method was primitive but as JCAR pointed out...an eye for an eye.

I actually think it would have been more of a punishment to Saddam to have locked him up for the rest of his natural life.

Umm, I am a 100% sure, they would of chose not to die.

He on the other hand knows he is going to die, and made a request to be killed like the Military man he is.

And thinmyster

Commiting suicide is the cowards/pussies way out. Letting someone else kill you and owning up to your sentence is the mans way.

I don't think you understood my point...of course his victims didn't want to die (and neither did he) but he didn't give them a choice on how they WOULD die and he didn't deserve a CHOICE as well.

I hope I got my point across...as for the "Military Man" comment - he did not deserve an "honourable" death. <<IMHO

That point is very debatable J.
