does anyone know where to go to get rust protection on a vehicle that isnt from the dealership? my friend has an 06 X-Trail and Nissan wants 1300 bucks to do it. any help would be appreciated.

I remember someone telling Apple Autoworks or something like that does a great underbody rust protection coating for under 500 bucks.

includes: under coating, rust protection, paint and fabric protection

$1300 would be for the entire protection package, and that seems quite high. I work at a Nissan dealership, and retail on that full package (rust protection, paint protection, fabric/vinyl/leather protection, undercoat) is around $800 I believe.

If you're refering to the rust protection as the stuff they spray into the hood, front fenders, and the holes in the bottom of the doors, I wouldn't get it. It's not worth it to be honest.
