Command Start 3501 shuts off when entering

Can anyone help with this strange problem on a command start 3501? Do you know why the engine would shut down (after starting remotely) when you open the door? I also notice that when engine off, key out, I close the door while exiting and the parking lites flash once?? Did I accidently program this? It didn't do this when I first installed it!! There wasn't an owners manual with it when I purchased it. Thanks

Hi,
The 350i doesn't usually tie in to a door switch. What is the year make and model of you vehicle?
Does this happen with only the driver door, or does it happen when you open other doors?
Do the doors lock when you get out and close the doors?

This is a 1993 GMC Suburban. Opening any door will shut down the engine. NO the doors do not lock!

Oh and the unit beeps and flashes the park lites about 5 seconds after closing the door! Thanks!

Check all the fuses first.
Next you will need to test each wire at the remote starter while opening and closing a door. If any of the wires change polarity while opening and closing the door this will be your problem.
Follow that wire and see where it ties into the Suburban.

Hey thanks a buch for the tips...what I found was one of the 12V power wires came off at the convienence center and I mistakenly plugged it back into a switched circuit! Works great when it has constant 12Volts!!!
